Our 2024 DCR Grant Application
The DCR Competitive Dam Safety, Flood Prevention and Protection Assistance Fund targets private dams that are categorized as "high hazard." DCR awards matching grants to pay up to 50% of dam remediation costs (up to $500,000). Historically, these grants reimburse dam owners at the conclusion of construction. This means, private entities need to secure 100% of costs in order to complete the project prior to reimbursement.
In 2024, some DCR grants were allocated from a special fund which supports quarterly reimbursement. We were fortunate to receive funding from this special grant program which means that we receive funds every three months as we spend money on the project.
